This is label arithmetic, not a cost-per-wear result. Retailers, shades, promotions, tax and shipping can change the basket price.

Application is part of the choice

Maybelline directs Vinyl Ink users to shake before applying and allow it to dry; Matte Ink has its own outline, fill and dry instructions. Follow the selected formula directions instead of assuming two similarly named products use the same routine. The brand makes long-wear claims; we have not independently verified them.

Choose the finish before the unit-price winner

A matte result and a reflective result solve different visual preferences. If you already know you dislike shine, a lower cost for an unrelated finish does not create value. Conversely, buying matte color and then adding a gloss introduces a combination whose transfer and wear behavior we have not tested.
